Excellent guesthouse on a working farm run by a lovely family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, many with private bathrooms. Views over the fields with new lambs, the glacier and the sea on the two horizons. Good insulation between rooms. The buffet breakfast has a lot of variety, including meat selections, eggs, fruit, and their own milk. The hosts are excellent cooks and dinner is really a treat--highly recommend signing up for this. The hosts also have good advice on what to see locally. From them, we learned that we could drive up to the foot of the Solheimajokull Glacier only a few kms down the road, and walk to the glacier within 15 min. The Skogar folk museum and waterfall, the Dyrholaey cliffs, and horseback riding are all right nearby. And, it's possible to drive to Jokulsarlon (and/or Skaftafell) and back in a single day. All in all, a great base in South Iceland--we stayed 2 nights and will certainly come back again.
