We were staying for the night in Vik and decided to try out this restaurant. We order the seafood soup and lamb chop. The soup was OK but the lamb chop was exceptionally good. It's simple and straighforward grill and yet tasted fantastic! Definitely worth a try if you are stopping in Vik just for a good quick meal at reasonable price

We stopped here for lunch on a day out and it was very good - especially the lamb stew! The waitress was extremely friendly and the sea views were lovely (even on a cold day in January!).

Fast food In a gas station. Hubby had an Eggburger with fries, egg was very undercooked and messy, but he liked it. Fries had nice spice on them. ISK 10,000 for burger. Great view of ocean. I had nice hot chocolate and some chips from the little market. Nice place for lunch if the tour busses aren't there.

We were quite picky as to which Iceland restaurant we wanted to try since, it seems, all the restaurants are quite expensive in Iceland. We wanted to know that we would get good food when we finally decided to eat out.

Strondin was recommended to us by our hotel so we tried them out. (That and Vik is super small do you don't have toooo much of a choice). We ordered the traditional soup which was very tasty and a great consistency. We also ordered lamb and Icelandic charr caught locally.

The lamb was cooked well, tasted good (only one piece was a little gamey, the other pieces were good) with good sides. The Idelandic charr was cooked perfectly with slight crispy skin and a great white wine sauce along with mashed potato and veggies. It was delicious and was a decent portion.

The service was good, prompt and efficient.
There is a good variety of menu items from traditional Icelandic dishes to pizza! Fresh ingredients!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We stopped here for dinner and had the fish sandwich which was great. Prices were reasonable and the view from the back was beautiful.
