Found the hike and views amazing... the lighthouse less than what I imagined. If you don’t drive up to top, it is a long hike uphill, but worth it! 4 stars as it is a long hike .. a good 30-40 hike to lighthouse.... some can drive up, but steep incline and bad road to the lighthouse area... we did not attempt! Perhaps a 4 wheel drive could do it.. difficult in inclement weather.

Amazing arch like structure in the sea with a hole in it. We were told the ocean created the hole and that the name means keyhole. Located near the beautiful black sand beaches. Amazing natural wonder that you should definitely see.

Make the trip out here. Easy to drive out to the parking area near the point and great views although they had beach access blocked off, I’d imagine it’s because of the dangerous shore break. Take lots of pics, you can see all the way to Reynisfjara beach area

Nice views of two beaches, the mountains and the arch. A bit like Durdle Door. Windy with lots of bird life as well

The lighthouse has very unique architecture, unlike any other lighthouses I've seen. Amazing views, even though it was raining and foggy while we were there. Easy walk around the area, but the drive up to the lighthouse was a bit bumpy... 4x4 is helpful.

Just incredible view all over south Iceland shore.
Truly stunning.
Winds are pretty strong so bring something to cover the face area.

Not to be missed. For our 4x4 Campeasy campervan the dirtroad up the hill was no issue. You get to see lots of seabirds, the lighthouse, the famous black beach and coastline from above as well as the pierced rock. Awesome stop.

Came with the hopes of seeing some puffins but this was the wrong time of year. There is a lighthouse one can observe and great views. The road up said 4x4 only but we had a normal car that had no problem driving up, just go slowly.

Worth the drive up a narrow gravel road. Amazing views with an ocean, black sand beach juxtaposed to snow/glacier capped mountains. Lots to see, and if you enjoy taking breath taking picts, this is the place. Drive yourself, but a bit of a rough road.
