With ambient lighting, wooden floors and ceilings Geysir Bistro has a rather homely quality to it. The service was excellent and I felt lucky to have such a lovely waitress serve us all evening. I had the leg of duck which was excellently cooked accompanied by sweet potato fries and red onion jam (which was so good I took the rest home with me). The fillet of lamb for our table was however a little bit of a disappointment with the lamb lacking any real punch and the potato purée having a very odd taste indeed.
The dessert was good but not amazing, my crème bruleé had a lovely taste but was a little under-set for my liking.
Overall, I would probably go back and would recommend it to others.
