“Good late lunch”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

We arrived at 3 pm and the chef and front of house person were the only two people in the restaurant. We chose spaghetti Bol for our toddler and French onion soup for us. Both were excellent. The front of house person was lovely with us and our roaming demanding boy.

I've only given a 4 for the atmosphere but I can imagine it would be really good for drinks and a celebratory meal. The 4 is just due to it being empty when we were there.

“Pleasant meal”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

A nice place, with friendly staff.

Food was good, but if you order the Salted Cod, be warned it is VERY salty! I guess the name kind of gives it away, so I couldn't complain. Good value by Iceland standards too.

“Lively, spacious and friendly”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

A variety of good food from simple choices of fish and chips or Icelandic Burgers to more complex dishes. Plenty of choice for most palates. Staff very friendly and there is a good atmosphere in this busy restaurant in the centre.

“Very comfortable and good food”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

After a long afternoon of trekking through Reykjavik - sometimes with the steady wind at our back but mostly against us - we were hungry and thirsty and wanted to sit down and eat a casual meal. Geysir fit the bill nicely. Nice menu, moderately (for Reykjavik) priced, open, light-filled, and airy. I had the freshest fish (as part of fish and chips) I can remember. Very nice.
