This place is fantastic! With the departure of McDonald's from Iceland in 2009 the local market for American-style burgers picked up the slack with gusto! The main location is over by the old harbor area, but from the outside seemed to me a bit too cramped for comfort.

Thank goodness for the hidden branch at the back of the B5 bar on Bankastraeti. Head in toward the bar, but then shuffle off to the right, through a door into a small brick-lined room and to your left is the ordering window. The options are plenty, and the burgers are excellent. A word of warning, however: these may not be the best burgers you've ever had. They are comparable to a very high-end McDonald's and go perfectly with beer... which you can order from the bar.

Every now and then you just want a burger as if you were at home. I have found this to be hit and miss when on the road but this place was a hit. Burgers were tasty, fries were excellent and price point was perfect. Basically $12 CDN for a burger, fries and drink. You will pay the same at home at red robin etc...

Not only was the hamburger delicious but I was able to eat it as it was glutton-free, including the bun.

Ate here on our first night in Reykjavik and my partner talked about the burgers for the rest of our trip!

The "offer of the century" is really good value including chips and a drink for just under 1500kr, making for cheap meal! Tried to go back on our last night but we were a little late, closes at 2100. Seemed popular with locals, which I always think is a good sign and quite trendy inside with tall tables, interesting artworks and trendy lights. Is also in a lovely setting right by the harbour which makes for nice walk around before or after!

Look for the menu outside, it has much more English on it, we didn't notice until leaving, although the staff are very friendly and helpful!

Great burgers. Loved the Bearnaise sauce. We found it on out first day in Reykjavik and returned again on out last day. For meat lovers only!
