This centrally located restaurant is a great option for a relaxing dinner in a cozy and relaxing location. The service is friendly and laid-back. The food is ok - not quite in line with the prices, but tasty nonetheless. The house wines are tasty. The best part of this restaurant is the location - with the great big windows for people watching. I would certainly return the next time I'm in Reykjavik.

Great little place on a corner of the main street through the centre of Reykjavik. Eaten here a few times, most recently last week when in the city. Had a window table so could watch the world go by. Service was very good, food good, our 1 yr old enjoyed waving at people out of the window.

It was quiet when we arrived early evening but was getting very busy when we left later on. Good portion size and very reasonably priced for Reykjavik.

Would certainly recommend and will be visiting again in the future.

Very Central location, reasonable prices and good food. Our Group of 45 parents and kids had a common dinner at Solon. Drinks and Food were quite quickly on the table (other Place we'd been waiting an hour). We had a separate room on the second floor and could enjoy ourselves without troubling other visitors.
Next day I had a lunch there With my daughter. Lunch menu is good and has a "healthy Choice" list that can satisfy a person on a diet or oragnic food fan.

We went to Solon for dinner on our second night in the city. We saw the menu and the atmosphere looked lovely so we went in.

Service was good - we had a lovely waiter who was Irish and was really welcoming. It was prompt and we saw nothing of the slow service referred to in other reviews.

I ordered Mexican and my husband had club sandwich. The food was good - not amazing but good for the price and was tasty. It was reasonably priced and fine for us.
