The food was terrific. Everything was delicious, but service was a bit slow. We were sitting in the back of the restaurant which was very dimly lit and I looked up and noticed someone who just come out of the bathroom. She was wearing big dark sunglasses and a hat. I said that she looked like Yoko Ono. She was Yoko Ono.

Very impressed for food in Iceland. Really flavorful. Expensive, but for Icelandic standards not terribly so.

Our second visit this past month was much the same as our first in 2011. The staff was friendly and helpful in selecting rom the menu and the food was delicious. As real as any Indian cuisine we have experienced in the NY Metro area where we live. Just be careful about the heat (spice) index for your dish!

Great place and Indian food. We ate at Fish Company and other high end, formal restaurants and this was the best.

We stumbled upon this gem walking down the narrow sidewalk of a torn up road in Reykjavik in search of a wine bar we never ended up finding. We returned and found the place packed (Saturday night). At first we were turned away, but after we made it clear that we were willing to wait, they found us a table. The menu is small and a bit meat-centric (fortunately we had no vegetarians) but the dishes are well chosen and often highlight local ingredients. We split 3 mains, a dal, and naan between five people and found it to be just the right amount of food. The slow-cooked lamb shank dish was absolutely delicious, though I'm not sue why the word "mild" was used in the description as it was the spiciest dish we got. It was perfect. The only dish that wasn't perfect was the dal, which was rather bland. This was the first experience with Indian food for one of our group members, but it won't be the last! We ended up upgrading from a 1/2 to a full bottle of the house red, a very drinkable, fruity (but still dry) Italian wine. I wish it were customary to tip in Iceland, as our server definitely deserved a big one. If only the prices were a little lower...
