Our flight got in early and we were able to check in only an hour after arrival. Our room in the basement was huge and even had two sinks. It was only about a 10 minute walk to the bus station, and it took about the same amount of time to walk downtown. Magnus was friendly and breakfast had a good variety of food. We would stay here again

We stayed here just after Christmas- when Iceland was experiencing very heavy snowfall.
I like being able to book direct to the guest house with Magnus- who answered plenty of my difficult questions.
Magnus- also waited around the evening we arrived to make sure we made it OK (albeit a scary drive in the snow). We only booked a room- with a shared bathroom- but as there was no one else staying that week he let us have essentially an apartment to ourselves- so we could do a bit of self catering- good for saving money!

Breakfast was superb. Although we found it quite hard getting up in what felt like the middle of the night- but where else will we experience this?!

Magnus also helped us with calling up the ski slopes to check if/ when they were open.

Its about a 10 minute walk into town, but the large church is much closer- and there are some hot water baths (very cheap) between the church and Snorri's.

A good place to stay for central Reykjavik, only ten minutes walk away. Good clean facilities, a freindly and helpful owner and excellent breakfasts. Our twin room did not have en suite facilities, the bathroom was however close by. We had a kitchenette adjacent to our room, useful for a cup of tea at will. Easy and regular transport to Keflavik airport using the "Flybus", with pick up direct from the guesthouse door. Recommended

We stayed at snorri's guesthouse in the beginning of July. It was awesome. Magnus made us feel very welcome and helped out with booking tours to go see sights in Iceland. The breakfast was the best! He even made us a breakfast to go for our early departure. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back!

We loved this place! After traveling around the country, Snorri's was a wonderfully comfortable way to spend our last two nights in Reykjavik. We had a double room with private bath, on the 3rd floor. The room was huge (this is not just by iceland standards where rooms generally are the size of postage stamps), had a balcony and a very comfortable bed and must have been recently renovated, as it was sparkling clean. And, finally, a hotel with blackout curtains so we could actually sleep! :) They also served breakfast, which, though convenient was nothing remarkable, and they have free internet access and refrigerator / kettle in the room.

Snorri's was by far the best accommodation we had while in Iceland. That said, hotels and hostels are expensive in Iceland, and Snorri's is not an exception. For a room with private bath, I think we paid over 16.000 kroner / night.

Magnus, the owner was very friendly and helpful. His breakfast is the best we've had during our stay! Plus, Snorri's Guesthouse is located near the center and the bus terminal! Too bad there were no shutters at the windows!

Magnus was very friendly and helpful. There are two houses with different rooms. We stayed in a double room, tha bathroom was shared with another double room, so was a kitchen nearby. All rooms were clean, linnen and towels were included. Breakfast was included, as well as free WiFi.
The guesthouse is located at snorrabraut not far away from the BSI-busterminal and the domestic airport. Hallgrimskirkja is within 5 to 7 min by foot. 10 to 15 min walking distance to the center and harbour.

We can highly recommend snorri-guesthouse for a stay in Reykjavik!
