We stayed here for four(4) nights and couldn't have been happier. As a frequent hilton guest I was upgraded to to executive floor with access to the concierge lounge. Room was great and the concierge was sufficient to save us from having to eat large meals.. The free beer and wine in the evening was really a pleasant surprise.. The staff here is super friendly and everything is spotlessly clean..

We didn't eat at the cruel restaurant but the food at the concierge was very good.. Enjoy your stay here...

We also received complimentary access to the spa which we did not use but it looked vey nice..

The Staff were helpful and had free bus passes around Reykjavik the breakfast was good although the pancakes were cold.
The rooms were small and paper cups did not seem to fit with the hilton image.
Also had a very noisy fridge that woke me in the night. It seems attention to detail is lacking.

I recently stayed four nights here with my partner. We stayed in a king suite executive room on the 8th floor so had great views over lookings the bays and surrounding mountains. The room was quite large and very nicely decorated. The large rainforest shower and spa bath were amazing - just what you need after being out in the cold all day! We also arrived to a welcome platter of wine and cheese which was a nice touch.

Executive rooms also give you access to the executive lounge where you could relax and have complimentary drinks and nibblies. This lounge has the same great views over the bay.

The hotel offered a large buffet selection at breakfast which was really good and meals at the Vox restaurant were very tasty - with incredible service to match.

We booked several tours through the tour desk at the hotel and got heaps of helpful tips on what to do and see. All the staff were very helpful and all spoke excellent english.

The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, but its straight down one road so it is an easy walk, otherwise you can get a free bus (which we never used) or just a 5 minute taxi ride when you just wanted to get out of the cold.

All in all, this is a great hotel in one of the most amazing cities I have ever visited. The only downside is I wished I could have stayed longer. I would highly recommend a trip to Iceland with a stay at the Hilton Nordica.

Room Tip: If you can get a room that is on the higher floors with views over the bay.

We spent two nights here in the middle of our Iceland trip. We had an executive room on the top floor which was comfortable and a good size. It was disappointing to be put right next to the lifts but the noise didn't bother us enough to ask to move if possible. The views over the water and hills are lovely - they were bathed in sunshine the day we arrived and then covered in snow the next.

We like to walk so the location suited us well. It took about 15/20 mins to be in the main shopping area and was an easy flat walk. The gym was a great facility after staying at other places without one.

The executive lounge was excellent. It has the same good views and had completely different canapes on the two nights we were there. The staff who worked in the lounge were charming and very helpful.

This is about what you expect from a Hilton. The rooms are clean and service is good. There is a solid restaurant on site and a nice lobby bar. The exercise room is well-equipped and spotless. Guest services will get you set up with any tour or information that you need. Here are some things you should know:

-the hotel is a bit of a hike from most of the things that you will want to see in Reykjavic. Cabs are very expensive. There is good bus service (which is free because they will give you a pass at the front door). So if you are a walker or don't mind the bus, then there is no problem.

-there are a bunch of restaurants right by this hotel. Take a right when you leave the hotel and you will find Mexican, traditional Icelandic, Indian, Vietnamese, Pizza and some others within 5 minutes. Most of them are cafeteria style for lunch; most are sit down for dinner. Most are reasonably priced.

-if you have access to the executive lounge--use it. Great views from up there.

-there is no pool, but the hot tubs and sauna are nice. You have to pay for access to the hot tubs, but you get a fantastic neck massage thrown in with it.

-stop by the blue lagoon on your way to the airport if you have a late afternoon or evening flight.

Room Tip: The north side will have views of the harbor. On the south side the views are not good unless you a...

My wife & I recently spent an enjoyable long weekend at this hotel.
We booked an executive room on the 9th (top) floor with panoramic views of Reykjavik bay and access to the exec lounge on the floor below.
Location-wise the hotel is a mere 3 bus stops from the city centre courtesy of the hotels’ free bus pass.
Dining in the Vox restaurant was a superb experience.
The hotel staff are friendly and knowledgeable whilst the ladies staffing the gift shop do a fantastic job as they also manage tours and excursions.
Not really many cons-the snack offerings in the exec lounge were a bit hit and miss and the breakfast options when leaving for an early morning flight were a tad underwhelming. All in all a brilliant break.

Room Tip: Go for an exec club room with views over the bay (front of hotel)

Just returned from Iceland. Spent 6 nights at the Hilton Nordica. Really nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are modern and very functional. Early check-in was great.
Several decent restaurants in the area and a large convenience store is close by.
