“Great for families”
Reviewed June 24, 2014

Yes, it is great for pizza - but sometimes you need that if you are with children and the quality of the ingredients and speed of service is ideal for families. We also ordered a roasted chicken entree that was out of this world. The fresh milk is not to be missed as a children's beverage and the Icelandic beer is great for adults. Was $100 for party of 3 which is decent for custom food in Iceland. Great, friendly service.

“Great Pizza and Atmosphere”
Reviewed June 19, 2014

We ate a quick dinner here in June 2014.

Atmosphere: was very cute and cozy- cheery and bright inside with a wood oven in the corner so you can watch pizzas being made. It was very busy, with lots of people coming and going. We had quick and pleasant service.

Food: We both ordered pizzas which were delicious- fresh crust and great toppings. The pasta dishes around us looked very good as well.

Prices: Reasonable for Iceland, around $28 for a pizza- if not starving or big eaters, two people could split one.

“Best pizza in Reykjavik!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

Cozy place. Quiet location around the corner from the busy street. Great pizza and cold beer. It is a small place, so tables can fill up. Worth the wait.

“Great place, very busy but excellent”
Reviewed May 17, 2014 via mobile

We are staying across from this place and read it was good so fave it a try. It was so busy, people coming and going all the time, obviously they have been here before. The food was excellent, the pizza were thin based and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of toppings. My friend had pasta it was delicious, flavoured with garlic, chilli, tomato and mushroom, accompanied with really good garlic bread. Desert was equally good, homemade ice cream really nice.

Price wise more expensive than anywhere in the UK, but everything is here and in comparison with other places it was reasonable. If in Reykjavik you must go if you like Italian cuisine.

“Still on my top 5 in Reykjavik after 30 years”
Reviewed May 15, 2014 via mobile

Went to this magnificent place again like I have done for decades now. Went for the snails for apertizer like so many times before. I then went for a smoked salmon salad which I had not tried at Hornid before but probably have in most other restaurants offering it.
This is probably one of the best if not the best smoked salmon salad I have ever had.
This cosy little restaurant still remains in the top five in my home town. Super.
