Kathy and Joskul (owners) were great. Very friendly and were very helpful when my flight arrived so early from the U.S. that I didn't really have anywhere to go. They were also a great resource on what to see/do/where to eat and go out. The tips they provided in the email were invaluable. Definitely buy some alcohol at the airport. Iceland is very expensive.
We stayed in Apartment K3 the first night and Apartment K7 the last two nights of our trip. Both apartments were very clean, modern, and full of cool amenities including wireless internet, internet on the 42" LCD TV in the living room, 40+ movies to watch on the hard drive of the PC attached to the LCD TV, and an iPod speaker system. The furniture was very modern (think higher end IKEA) and the artwork was very unique and well done. You will get a kick out of the Death Star lighthing above the kitchen table and the "woman's body" chair in the living room. The egg looking stool/ottomon was a little odd. The bedding in the bedrooms was very comfortable though the pull out couch in the living room was built more for asthetics. Both apartments were located near the end the main street. You have bars, shops, and restaurants right outside your door.
Great place. Great owners. I would definitely stay there again.
