Let me begin with the recommendation to ignore or at least discount somewhat the review titled "Terrible place". If this patron chose a restaurant not previously visited for a graduation dinner... well, I do not place much value upon that review and urge you to do the same.
This is authentic Italian (i.e. Momma-in-the-kitchen), off the beaten-path and enjoyed - immensely - by many of the locals. We rented an apartment 5-minutes walk from here and the owner told us about it. She said it was wonderful and she was absolutely right!
This is not designed to be a 5-star, fine dining experience. We give it five stars here because our review is of the restaurant as perceived, not a ranking among the world's finest. They offer a TRULY family friendly atmosphere, including a small table for toddlers and a chalkboard for playing. This alone should let you know that a graduation dinner should not take place here. There are only 6 or so tables, so the majority of business is likely takeaway. We walked right in and took a seat without issue or wait on a Friday, around 6:30 PM. The table we chose was directly in front of the area where homemade pasta is created, then carried about 10 feet away to be cooked to perfection.
The menu is minimal, but the dishes sublime. We enjoyed three dishes: Orecchiette, Ravioli, and Spaghetti - each having a varied meat sauce, with the ravioli also meat-filled. The fresh bread was something I could normally pick-up in Boston's North End - the Italian section of the city. We enjoyed one of the few beers available, as well as a bubbly orange soda for our daughter.
The service was excellent, presented with a smile. Despite the language barrier we had no issues when ordering. Upon speaking a few words of Italian, Katia (I think) responded with bubbling excitement and an even bigger smile!
In closing a simple wish upon you and yours: Bon appétit!

We decided to celebrate my daughter's graduation of school at this restaurant. Inside it looks like a mix of a kitchen with oilcloths on the tables and a shop with a lot of shelfs with dry pasta, which they sell at the place. After eating pasta we ordered desert 'Tiramisu', and they gave us plastic boxes with the just unfrozen 'Tiramisu', not fresh as it should be ! Avoid this place !

friendly host, with his comment even if it is positive, we need to improve.
for the graduation of his daughter would have to choose a restaurant, not a local take-away food from taking a 50% discount offer and dividing it in two, claim to have all the features of a luxury restaurant.
the majority of our customers come to us for the quality of authentic Italian food at an affordable price, courtesy, kindness.

Had the pizzas here tonight and were very pleased with our choice. Base was great and toppings tasty. Cost was 2300 kroner average for a pizza which fed 2 adults.Recommended.

This is where our daughters found THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE in Iceland!!!! Seriously gorgeous, thick, creamy and delicious.
We had lunch here (Pizzas & pasta) which were all delicious with very helpful obliging service.
Everything was made fresh to order but the short wait was well worth it - we have not had better pizza bases outside of Italy!!!!
They also sell authentic italian groceries, this is a really genuine family venture and well worth a visit, it's just a five minute walk round the corner from the Laugardalur Swimming Pool so perfectly placed for a yummy bite or drink after a swim.......
