We stayed at the 4th floor Hotel during a week. Our room was 201 and was composed of one bed room, one bathroom and a separated one for the toilet. Note that you have to go outside of the bedroom, on a common hall shared by rooms 201 and 202, to get to the bathroom and toilet. Not all the rooms are like this, most of them have a private bathroom and the weirdest fact is that these 2 rooms are supposed to be "premium" room. Anyway, it was not a problem after all, we barely saw our neighbours during our stay.
On first night my girlfriend wasn't able to sleep well because of the noise in the street so early in the morning she asked for another room. The lady immediately went with her to show her different room and told her to pick the one she'd prefer. Unfortunately most (if not all ?) of the rooms are on street side. We finally stayed in the same one and were offered ear plugs which really helped with the noise.

To sum up the good points :
- everything was perfectly nice and clean.
- service was really good. Lady at the desk was really nice and helpfull with things to do and places to go and eat. We had our flight at 7:20am hence had to leave the hotel around 4:30. Breakfast don't start before 8am but she asked that we get a take away breakfast: how nice is this?
- breakfast is ok, you have bread, ham, eggs, bacon, some fruits, ... It's not worth 9€ (1500kr) but everything is damn expensive in Reykjavik and it was included so it was ok.
- hotel is nicely situated, at the end of the shopping/bars street. Pros to be at the end of the street are that you don't get "too much" noises of drunk people during the night. Cons is that you need to walk 10mn to get to the other end of it which is not so bad...

Bad points :
- noise. Even though drunk people are not a problem you still hear cars and coaches as if they were just next to you. If you are sensitive to noise then don't forget your ear plugs.
- heat? wasn't able to control the heating in the room so it was kind of hot sometimes but it wasn't a sauna either.

All in all, good hotel, nice service, nice location.

As long as you're not expecting luxury, you won't be disappointed. The room was small but clean and served its purpose perfectly. A nice place to sleep after a some long day trips. This hotel is a very good value with a great location.

The hotel is centrally located near Laugavegur, with two 10-11 stores close by (one around the corner, the other about 10min walking distance).
We went as a couple and Frederick and Guita, the two staff members we dealt with were super friendly and even gave us a discount+free gps when we rented a car (they have a car rental company within the hotel).
We stayed at the 2nd floor suite, with a large bed, heating (we went during winter), tv, inbuilt bathroom with shower, a microkitchen with microwave, fridge and oven.
It really couldn't be better and we did not feel price was high at all. Although Reykjavik itself can become very expensive very quickly.

The only thing we didn't like was the internet which kept dropping the signal, and the heater which could become a bit too hot during the night. Plus the cleaning lady did not seem to care that the "do not clean" sign was on, but she was friendly.
Otherwise, highly recommended.

Room Tip: rooms on the adjacent building (suites) are much better and bigger than the regular rooms.

We stayed in a superior double room which was quite big and cosy.
Unlike many places in Reykjavik our room was warm with radiators regulation to set it as we like it.
There was a small fridge, working desk, 2 TVs and 2 sofas in the room and the general feeling was like in a small apartment which was important for us since we were there for the whole week.
Reception and breakfast staff was nice and helpful.
Breakfast was ok with diverse buffet offer (fruit, yogurts, sweet, salty, english breakfast...)
we liked the location near everything but not in the heart of noise - there is a 10 min walk via Laugavegur (the main shopping street) so it often gets longer :)

I have to mention there is no heating in the bathroom so it is quite cold while having a shower.

Very good value for price + excellent location. Great staff as well, they were very kind and helpful
. We stayed there for 4 nights during new year's eve with my wife. The rooms were rather small but that wasn't a problem for us. Breakfast was quite nice too.
