Excellent hotel. Fabulous service, friendly and well located. The buffet breakfast in the mornings was perfect, it made the morning of the marathon so much easier. We could easily walk to and from the shopping areas and the restaurants

The staff at the front desk was not accommodating in regards to a miscommunication (on their end) regarding 'welcome drinks'. Instead of providing excellent customer service the front desk staff argued with the us about whether or not one glass of wine would be charged to the room. If a welcome drink is offered to a guest and the guest goes to the bar to request the welcome drink it needs to be communicated what drink is on the menu and what is not on the menu.

Pros:
The location is perfect and really central.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast had a fairly wide range of food available.
Cleanliness was good.
Availability of car parking outside (not free).
Free wifi.
Cons:
The room we had was quite small. Limited pillows that were all uncomfortable.
There were holes in the roof above the cupboard.
Shower was tiny, soaked the floor mat every time it was in use. Also frequently ran out of hot water.
Breakfast itself was quite average. I would not pay to eat there (only ate there for breakfast due to being included in the room price).
Only one tiny towel bar, so had to have the towels changed every day as there was no room to hang them up.
Not many tv channels available.

Beautiful and clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! Conveniently located in the City Center. This is both a plus and a minus as, while convenient, I found the room to be noisy at night! As a result, I slept poorly the first few nights. It was summer and the room was warm (no AC) so I had the window open. The front desk staff recommended that I close the window and turn the fan on, and this worked beautifully to block out the noise! Be prepared to make some adjustments for sleep, but other than that, you will love this hotel and the friendly, helpful staff! Despite my initial sleep issues, I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again!
A hotel with everything you are looking for! Reliable wifi, fast room tidying up, and plenty of space. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, try the Skyr! We had a junior suite which included access to their hot pool, steam shower, and gym. The gym was a sparse but with all the walking in Iceland you prob won’t use it anyway. Cannot beat the location, central to the main tourist drag. Extra praise to Laurence at the front desk, who booked our walking tour and Perlan trip. She is so sweet, professional, and knowledgeable! Super happy we stayed here!
First off, best location! Grocery store one block over, bus stop 3, five minute walk, lots of shops and dining within a 10 min walk. This location is def the place to be. A lot of reviews complained about the clubs, the noise was loud but not unbearable. The room had a fan so it wasn't that hot for us but we brought a small fan with us as well. The standard room is small we kept our luggage on the couch. The room didn't really matter, it was nice but we were only in the room to shower, change and sleep so it accommodated our needs. There was a mini fridge, super small. If you go to the grocery store you will have to get dry foods, there is also no microwave. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. I think its time they replace those. I got sleep but it wasn't good and the pillows are too flat for me. I need a fluffy pillow. Other than that it was a good spot for the price and location.
