My husband and I booked this hotel thinking that we were going to be staying in 4-star accommodations, but this hotel was severely lacking.
Pros:
- Location! Can't beat it.
- Nice lobby and bar.
- Great shower in the rooms.
Cons:
- The room was TINY. I'm used to staying in hotels in Europe, which often have smaller rooms compared to US locations. However, this was marketed as a double room, with not enough closet space for even one person (and only about 5 hangers), one chair (which jutted out in front of the bathroom door), and not enough room for even one suitcase. My husband and I were living on top of each other for 4 nights.
- The bathroom door is frosted glass with a clear glass bottom (around a foot tall). Seriously! Not exactly a romantic vacation when you can see your significant other on the toilet.
- The lighting is incredibly poor. The room has a black floor and and black accents, but not enough lighting. We also had a light go out, which was never fixed during our stay, so we were living in a constant state of semi-darkness.
- The area is so loud and the hotel not insulated at all from the outside noise. Bars are open until 4:30am on the weekends - be prepared to have it sound like a frat party has entered your bedroom. I'm a sound sleeper, but the outside noise kept me up and woke me up several times.
- The closet door was jammed shut for over 24 hours - this was broken sometime when our room was serviced and we had to proactively ask to have it fixed. It wasn't until the next day, with our things locked inside.
Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to stay at the Kvosin instead.
