Location is great, room was big and got plenty of natural light. Good breakfast and would stay again for sure. And I think it's a nice touch that they offer coffee and croissants as we check out before breakfast time.

This is a very nice hotel with well-appointed rooms that are comfortable and full of amenities. The hotel is centrally located and you are right in the action- convenient to a lot of shopping and restaurants, within walking distance of many attractions...location, location, location! The area is charming. Unfortunately, the hotel is also close to a night club. The room in the front of the hotel with a beautiful view of the square also gets the loud music from the night club until early morning hours, which can inhibit restful sleep, so pack your earplugs! The staff at the hotel were excellent and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast is high quality.
The Center Hotel Plaza Reykjavik is very special. The staff throughout the hotel are wonderful, friendly and were always willing to facilitate my comfort and happiness! My room was lovely, with windows extending the length of the wall. The room was a bit warm however, with no ability to control the temperature. The full and hearty breakfasts were delicious, and set me up well for my active day ahead. The bar was such a treat and the location could not be beat!! Overall, the hotel was a comforting cornerstone to my delightful week in Reykjavik.
We went on a 4 day trip to Reykjavik and stayed at Center Hotel Plaza. The hotel was very close to restaurants with good Food and close to the city center. The breakfast was good and all of the staf was nice. Nice rooms.
We enjoyed our hotel room, and the nice touch of having hot beverages available in the Hallway, on the 8th floor. The hotel staff were all very friendly and we felt they would have done more if asked.
We stayed four nights at Centerhotel, both with and without our tour package. The first night (booked on our own) was in an executive suite and was very comfortable and large enough for two people. The next two nights were booked with our tour and the room was smaller...but two people could still set up their luggage and move about the room. The final night of our tour we were put into dinky rooms on the first floor...I'm guessing the first floor is all small rooms....and the room was stuffy. We couldn't stow our luggage anywhere, the sink leaked, and the heavy bathroom door needed oiling. The breakfast was great and the personnel are personable and efficient. Just be sure of what you're getting when you book a room!
