This hotel is in the centre of Reykjavik and within walking distance of many attractions. The reception was friendly and helpful at any hour of the day. We had booked a double but we found that we had a twin. We were too tired to say anything the first night, and we slept so well that we kept the twin! The room was a little tired and dated but very clean and very tidy with everything you could need. The room faced the side of the hotel and there was little or no noise and the curtains were thick so the room was dark, despite it being light all night outside.
The buffet breakfast was excellent and plentiful and had quite a friendly atmosphere, but is quite cramped, so pick a 'quiet' time if you dont like a busy breakfast room!
All tours and buses pick up and drop off at this hotel and the tourist information office is just next door. The happy hour is great for a lovely cool pint of beer!More
