I stayed a Radisson Blu 1919 for two nights in July 2012.
The hotel is small (88 rooms) in downtown Reykjavik. Everything is just next door, making it convenient for eating out or shopping.
The rooms are stylish and spacious, and made the stay comfortable. The layout of the rooms vary so you might end up with a small bathroom and a sofa, or a bigger bathroom and no sofa.
We had breakfast next door at Laundromat (read the review), it was cheaper than at the hotel, and gave us a good quick start in the morning.
Having also stayed at the Hilton during that stay, I can not recommend you enough to select this hotel instead: it is still a big name hotel, but with a more reasonable size and way better service.More
