My husband and I found this treasure through the place we were staying in Reykjavik. When the cuisine was described to us; Korean, Japanese and Icelandic "fusion" we decided we had to check it out! We both ordered different things off the menu..my husband had the Bibimbap with beef..I had the chicken dish with the kimchi..both were delicious. We both agree the "hit" was the Korean fire chicken wings which cannot be missed! They had an extensive beer selection (try the Hoegaarden if you like a lighter beer..very nice). For dessert try the Cronut..it's a cross between a donut and a croissant..I'd never heard of this..it was very tasty! Beyond the food, the decor was eclectic and fun. The restaurant waitstaff wins the prize for best in service. (Nothing against Iceland) we found the service to be a bit lacking overall in most places..not so here. Our waiter at K-Bar was excellent..they don't tip in Iceland but I felt compelled to give him a tip. Only right. Oh, and when I got home I noticed a little write up on K-Bar in Travel & Leisure this month! Two ringing endorsements..there you go!
