We done this with the golden circle tour and it was worth every penny. Left at 8.30am and got back at 8pm, every minute was enjoyable. Stopped off first at the national park for about 15 minutes, was a beautiful lake and great for taking pics. Takes about an hour and a bit to get here from the bus station, tour guide was fantastic and was not bored at all. Second stop was the geysers for just over an hour, they go off quite often so will see plenty during your stop then we went in to the cafe for some lunch. Plenty of choice and places to sit. 3rd stop is another 10mins down the road. We got off and viewed the waterfall, stunning place for pics and a memory you will treasure forever. Then boarded the monster bus to go up to the glacier. This was great fun and it gets stuck often which makes it exciting. The journey is about an hour but views are so worth it. Once at the top you get kitted out with your overalls and safety gear then get taken for a quick briefing. Don't rush as the changing room is small and loads of people try and get changed at once, you have plenty of time and it won't start without you. Then you set off one by one and drive across the glacier, hold on tight! You stop half way for pictures so don't try and get your camera out when driving/passenger.
Wrap up warm! I had wool tights, thermal socks, thermal waterproof snow boots, base layers, trousers, thick snow trousers, warm fleece, heavy wind proof & waterproof coat, wool gloves, my own thick gloves over the top, balaclava, scarf followed by the company's all in one snow suit! You still feel the cold! It was -14 when we were there. Take a good camera too, a few people in our group as well as us had iPhones and they switch off when they get too cold, just when you want to take the beautiful picture which is annoying. Fabulous day and lots of fun

We took the full Golden Circle tour with Snowmobiling. We were picked up at 830 by our guide in his super jeep, which was waiting outside the door of our apartment right on schedule! We then did a few more pickups through Reykjavik before going out onto the tour trail. Our guide was very helpful and insightful and filled us in on lots of interesting facts along the way as we visited the national park, where you stand on the North American plate, looking across to the European plate, we then went on to the Geysir from here which was great fun (if a little slippy!) before travelling to the waterfall followed by lunch. From there we travelled into the mountains for a couple of hours of snowmobiling. This was brilliant fun, and was helped by some great weather and more interesting facts from our guide! After the snowmobiling we headed back to the waterfall for coffee and to warm up before being dropped back to our apartment after a satisfying day of sights, adventure and local insight. I would definitely recommend this to friends to try!

Did the snow mobile hour with these guys, it was amazing! Will be back to do the 2-day tour in the future! My advice... Wear 2 pairs of gloves and make sure you take your camera with you.

The trip was about an hour. All kit is provided and so as long as you dress up warm you don't need to worry about what to wear. It is very cold out on the glacier and the weather can change rapidly so layers and scarves are a must.

The guides were good at setting a pace to suit all. We had really good fun over different types of snow and ice and the views were stunning. Fantastic way to see the glacier.

We took a day tour with this company to the Golden Circle and went snowmobiling afterwards. Arnar was our tour guide and he was amazing. He went above and beyond in order to make our experience enjoyable. We mentioned that we wanted to pet the horses. He got bread for us at one of the rest stops and spent an extra half an hour with us to take us to pet the horses. Anytime I mentioned that I wanted to take a photo he would pull over for me and wait patiently as I snapped the perfect photo. What a great day!!! I highly recommend this tour with this company!!
