AMAZING!!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jul 26, 2015
This is by far one of the finest and best lodging facilities I have ever stayed at.

It's a very small property that's conveniently located near the harbor. It has indoor parking. It is very modern and sleek. While it might appear to be like a cross between and B&B with a boutique hotel, it is neither.

The "apartment suites" are ultra modern and fully equipped. It's like staying in cool condo. We had the penthouse suite which was humongous. It could easily house 6 people without any crowding. It was immaculate. The 2 bathrooms were very convenient to have. They supplied plush towels, robes, and slippers along with toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap etc.

The kitchen came with a full fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, sink and all of the pots, plates, and silverware that you could possibly need. There was a Nespresso machine and hot water pot.

But the most amazing thing about these suites were the A/V-electronics! It was so sophisticated that we almost had problems just turning on the lights! There was an oversized TV in the dining area. There were too many TV's to count throughout the suite. They were all modern and very sleek & thin. And there were 2 Apple TV units connected so that you could stream all your favorite videos and youtube. Great for those early hours when you're jet-lagged.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Even after we had checked out, they helped us with directions, storing luggage, and parking. Thank you for an excellent stay!

This property has received a lot of hype on trip advisor. In this instance, it is well deserved! The location is central, there is parking (hard to come by in downtown Reykjavik at busy times) and the fit out of the apartments is of high quality. All the staff are charming and cannot do enough to help as other reviewers have noted. Highly recommended.

Room tip: All apartments have a lovely fit-out and paying more for a view is of questionable value

What more can I say but to elaborate on how nice and how helpful, professional and courteous the staff was. I can't say enough good things about them. The unit was very nice, very clean and very spacious. The in suite breakfast that you can purchase separately was wonderful. Look them up if in Iceland.

Room tip: They are all nice

My friend and I just had a wonderful 6-night stay at the Black Pearl Hotel. The hotel is clean, well-run and conveniently located. The rooms are spacious and filled with many comforts. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming to guests. I would absolutely stay here again.

My husband and I just returned from a four night luxurious stay at the Black Pearl. What a lovely treat! This was actually our third visit to Reykjavik and we had previously stayed in another hotel, which we thought was fine at the time. However, I can assure you, now that we've experienced all the Pearl has to offer, we will never stay anywhere else again when visiting Reykjavik. The Pearl apartment was spacious and beautiful, decorated in a modern Scandinavian style. A lot of thought has obviously gone into outfitting it. It seemed that whenever we wanted something, we looked and it was right there at hand. There was even a large balcony with tables and chairs to relax on after a busy day of excursions. The location is also perfection, smack dab in the happening 101 neighborhood. Just step outside and there are tons of restaurants, bars and the main shopping streets are close by. And as if that weren't enough, the Pearl offers garage parking to their guests, which is a huge plus. Parking spaces can be a bit scarce downtown, especially in the busy summer season. The service at the Pearl was impeccable, literally from the very first email contact I had with them, until the moment we checked out. Everyone who worked there was friendly, helpful and did all that they could to ensure that our stay was pleasant. Definitely take advantage of the catered breakfast they offer! It was not only delicious but also quite plentiful, providing leftovers for days! We can't seem to get enough of Iceland and I know we will be visiting again soon. Without a doubt, when in Reykjavik, you'll find us staying at the Black Pearl - Reykjavik's Finest Apartments hands down!

We stayed at the black pearl for 3 days and felt like home. The flat was very well equiped, and design. Our son was sick during pur stay and the staff was extremely helpful to get us information about medical support on a bank holiday. Cannot thank them enough and highly recommend this place.
