We were in Reykjavik for just a few days. We stumbled upon Gamla/Old Island for lunch on our first day, and we went back for lunch on our last day as well. The hostess was very welcoming and gave our kids paper and crayons. Kids' drawings are put on a wall in the back. We loved our food. I had fish stew (yum!), my wife had a fish gratin dish (can't remember the name), and the kids had pancakes with cream (crepes with real whipped cream). It was moderately priced by Iceland standards
