Description: Bambus draws inspiration from the traditions and food culture of Southeast Asia. We focus on quality and freshness and therefore all ingredients are specially selected; vegetables, meat and fish. To complete this unique flavor of Southeast Asia, all sauces and condiments are prepared from foundation in our own kitchen. Bambus combines a great environment, excellent food and service that makes the experience our guests unforgettable. Our famous signature dish Peking duck has been one of most favourite dish among locals and international travellers.

This is probably the closest near "authentic" Chinese food you will have in Iceland, so if you have an Asian craving - this place is your best bet. I traveled with older Chinese uncle (very traditional, needs his rice) - and when he found out this place was near Fosshotel I knew we were going to have one meal here. They will cater to guests / tour groups from China, so as your concierge to phone ahead to make sure there is seating. They do have a Chinese menu with prices in Euros that will knock your socks off. Thankfully I'm illiterate and asked for the English menu, which had a totally different far and prices. Take a look at your budget and order from there.

The food here is fresh and very tasty and it's served in a beautifully furnished and relaxing athmosphere. There is a lot to choose from on the menu and staff is helpful if you have allergies or questions.

What a lovely little find...such good food after a long day out.
Our large group of 44 had hoisin chicken and rice with vegetables. It was so good we could have all eaten another plate full. Maybe that could be the improvement...seconds for larger groups with students who are ravenous after a long day. Or desert maybe.

Lovely dinner spent here tonight after stumbling across it en route to our hotel via transfer.

Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely dining spaces and most importantly of all - great food.

Menu had a few classic Chinese choices - I had Spring Rolls for starter (classic UK Chinese option) yet this was first class with great presentation and good amount!

Grilled Beef Stir Fry in Noodles which again was presented fantastically and tasted beautiful!

Not too overpriced - we paid around £42 for two starters and two mains with no alcohol or drinks!

Recommended if you're a fussy eater and like to play it safe but also if you want to try some luxurious Chinese dishes!

Went there with my children. Had great service. The food was really good and you do not leave hungry as the plates are full of very well cooked food. You can ask them to spice your dish up if you like your meal hot or to tone it down if you that is to your preference. This place is not pricy at all.
