“A review of a different sort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

This is a review of a different sort in that, due to a health issue, my family and I were not able to partake in the long anticipated Iceland adventure we had planned for Mid-July 2013. That said, the responsiveness of both Tour.IS and IcelandAir was VERY impressive.

We are looking to the future to reschedule our trip and intend to use Tour.IS

Regards.

“Amazing Drive!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

It is our pleasure to write about the incredible self-drive tour put together by Tour.Is. The customer service and organization was outstanding. They went out of their way to be accommodating for us. The itinerary was relatively east to follow, GPS guided our drive and the accommodations/ breakfasts exceeded our expectations. Definitely worth every penny spent. We went on a 9 day 8 night circle tour of Iceland and would not choose to do it any other way. Driving ourselves gave us the freedom to stop to take pictures of all the amazing views and to plan as much or as little into a day as we liked. Our thanks to Oli and the rest of the Tour.is team for putting together such a fantastic trip!

“Six day trip through Iceland!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

My fiance and I just returned from a six day tour through Iceland booked through Tour.is and it was absolutely amazing. We did a couple of days on our own in Reykjavik at the beginning and end of the trip, but the highlight was definitely our six days traveling through Iceland on a private super jeep tour with our guide Borkur!! Tour.is and Borkur put together an amazing itinerary that was exactly what we wanted... active but laid back enough to explore any location as much as we wanted. We saw beautiful waterfalls, glaciers, beaches and so, so much more! We cannot wait to make it back, and we will definitely not go with anyone other than Borkur!!!

“Leave the Driving to Them!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

We booked tour TT17 - South Coast & Jokulsarlon - operated by Iceland Excursions through Tour.Is and it was everything we had hoped for and more. The staff at Tour.Is could not have been more helpful in assisting with our arrangements, in particular Ólafur Örn Ingason who offered helpful suggestions then guided us through the booking process on-line. He was particularly patient in replying to our many 'first time' questions. This tour is a Must-Do if you want to see the expansive remote area of South East Iceland along with its plentiful natural wonders. The sights did not disappoint and they were spectacular! Even the weather co-operated, making for a perfect "10" day on April 1rst. Of particular note was the quality of the tour guide and the driver. 14 hours is a long day to hold peoples' attention, but the guide's delivery and content were perfect. With regards to the 14 hours: the coaches were large and comfortable. There were many stops along the way offering opportunities for rest breaks and sight seeing/photos. Of particular note was the guide's decision to buy dinner in Vik on return for the entire group when we were unable to put in at the Glacial Lagoon due to the overabundance of icebergs on this first-of-the-season tour. The traditional lamb soup and grilled lamb chops were much appreciated after a full day of sightseeing. Thank you!
A+++ to Tour.Is and Iceland Excursions. We will see you again!

“Excellent Tour and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2013

We went on a self drive tour based on their West and South Iceland in March and added two nights in Reykjavik at the end and visited the Blue Lagoon wich was wonderful and just relaxed in the city.
We were vey happy with the itinerary Oli custom made for us and his very prompt replies. The highlight of our vacation were when we stayed at the Snaefellsnes peninsula the Aurora Borealis came out with a blast. it is a sight not to be missed...
The car that we received was clean and good to drive and we are glad that we took the 4x4 option as Oli recommended because although there was not much snow there was ice on some of the roads and a 4x4 is a lot more stable and secure.
The Hotels were small but comfortable and very clean.
The only thing that we missed was that some informations centers were closed during the low season but on the other hand there were few people visiting the places we went to and we kind of like that.
We would certainly recommend Iceland as a winter destination and Touris as the organizer.
