I dropped by here to purchase the City ticket and the staff was very helpful. There is a giant mockup of the Iceland on the mezzanine floor which is rather detailed.

I saw how beautiful the architecture looked on the outside. Once I went in I could not find much of interest so therefore I will only give this review 4 out of 5 circles. Maybe this town hall neds some colours to it??? :)

Really fun architecture with a huge shallow pond with ducks all around the building. Go inside and to the lowest floor to see a scaled 3-D topographical map of the entire island of Iceland. Very impressive!
It's a good place if you need a toilet break. There is also a parking garage underneath the building.

Sitting on the lake, this modern building may house exhibitions, but during my visit, there was nothing at all going on. There is a tourist office inside where you can buy the city card, but otherwise, the geese and swans on the lake that surrounds the building will probably end up being the most interesting thing to see.

Very interesting architecturally building, literally in the water (pond) with all surroundings, birds, swans. Make a full circle around the pond and get in to the building, if you have time and the weather is good. The City Hall is opened to the public!
