“Wonderful carrot cake”
Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

We stumbled upon this little gem. Te ambience is immaculate, and the service was good. The carrot cake was absolutely stunning. It was so so good. An almost perfect blend of sweetness and pastry

“Amazing! We are still talking about the donuts!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

We stayed at the Reykjavik4You Apartments right across the street so we had breakfast here every morning we were in town. SO GOOD! Over the course of the trip we tried a few things. The sandwiches were good, as were the croissants (notably the ham and cheese croissant). The cinnamin rolls were ok, but I think the U.S. has mastered that art so it's hard to compare it to yummy Cinnabun or anything. But the donuts...OH THE DONUTS! Forget Dunkin Donuts and Krispie Kreme, these were the best chocolate frosted and jelly donuts we had ever had. So much so that our "going back to Iceland" talk always is "we'll stop over for a few days to lounge in the Blue Lagoon and eat Bernhoftsbakari chocolate donuts". Seriously, after driving the ring road, the donuts is what we want to revisit the most. GO HERE!

“Open early”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Since we went on tours every morning and got picked up by 9, a lot of breakfast places were still closed. But luckily we drove by this place one morning and saw it was open early (like around 8am). They had a large assortment of baked goods and drinks and of course coffee.

“opens at 7:30 - 8:00am”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

The bakery was right by the reykjavik4you apartments where we stayed at. They open at 7:30 weekdays and 8am weekends which is pretty early in Reykjavik. This made it really convenient for us to grab a quick bite before heading on our morning tours. We enjoyed the food and there was a nice variety to choose from. Would come back again.

“Hyped”
Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

Walked the 10 minutes after going up the Church to this venue. Down a quiet street. Had about 4 tables inside but most of the customers were taking out. Staff were very friendly but the food was given in paper bags. Not plate even though we were sitting, just had to eat with your hands at the table. The cappuccino only managed to fill half the paper cups. Even though there was a strong wifi signal the staff didn't know or want to release the password. Food was sweet but good. Would say good if you r passing by or on the run but not place to relax and enjoy.
