Love this little place. I like the food they offer and the atmosphere. Its a small place, usually a take away but you can also sit down. Their chai latte is fantastic.

This quaint little café is like a gourmet coffee bar and farmer's market rolled into one. The service is wonderful, and if you're lucky enough to be served by the English owner, David, then you'll also be treated to a lovely chat. (Something not common in customer service here) The coffee is fair trade and locally roasted, and the milk used is free of hormones. Do try the brownies or the veggie-sausage rolls -- they are divine, though not great for one's waistline! The shop also sells a variety of locally homemade jams and other small Icelandic foods. The seating inside (and on the sidewalk) is rather limited, however, so you'll likely need to order for take-away. I am a local, and I like to visit here on my strolls down Laugavegur.

Wandered in here on a Friday afternoon based on reviews. There is only one two-seat table inside and another outside so keep that in mind if you're with a few folks. We each got Americanos and split a gluten-free brownie. Prices are within Reykjavik standards. The coffee was ok, but not mind-blowing. The brownie had good texture and lacked the odd flavor some gluten-free noms tend to have, but was way too sweet for both of us. Nice to know most things are locally sourced, and the take-out cups and lids are completely compostable, which makes us feel all warm and fuzzy. (Or is that just the caffeine?)

Litli Bóndabærinn is a little coffee place in Laugavegur, Reykjavík. This is a place I go to regularly. There you can find the best Chai latte (from far!!) in town and the best snacks to take away! David the owner of the place is just a fabulous spice master, his vegetarian sausage rolls and pasties are to die for!! The coffee selection is wide and nice. The staff is always nice and smiley, so if you want to boost yourself with good food and good mood, have a nice chat, this is probably one of the best place in town to go to!!
