This hotel bills itself as a luxury property, and certainly it is priced that way. We enjoyed our stay, but not sure it was worth the price. Our room overlooked the dry dock of the harbor. It was very interesting to watch work on the ships. The downside is that right under our window was a shelter where all the smokers visiting the popular hotel bar would congregate to smoke and were very loud, so between the smoke and noise we couldn't open the windows at night and sleeping not so great. The room was not cleaned until well after 3PM each day; once we had to go to the desk at 4PM and ask. Breakfast was great, but VERY expensive. No coffee/tea maker in the room; you are supposed to buy it in the lobby. Internet pricy, so we just used our phones. Free parking, but in a muddy, potholed lot about a half-block away. So overall, a mixed experience. We stayed in several other Reykjavik hotels during our trip (between forays to other parts of Iceland), and all were a better value than this one.
