A superb, well thought out informative museum. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. An absolute must see.
We were due to do a trip on a glacier today but due to weather conditions it was cancelled. This was equally awesome, particularly the ice cave.

A good science museum - the videos were informative and well organised. The ice tunnel was interesting (but a little disappointing to us as we had previously visited a natural ice tunnel in Switzerland). There were some interesting exhibits eg the glacier model through time and predictions but overall there was a bit too much irritating gimmicky stuff - like stand and point to get info on the board in front of you.
The restaurant and cafe were both good quality and enjoyable.

Thank you, Alan N., for your review.

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your experience at Perlan going all the way to the top, where our restaurant and café are located right under the dome. The view from there is spectacular as you can see all over the city and its surroundings.

Our exhibitions are designed to be educational, and our belief is that the best way to learn is through experiences. We, therefore, include interactive displays, hands-on activities, and cinematic experiences in all our exhibitions.

Have a wonderful day,
with regards from Perlan,
JE

took a bus here. Very expensive - told me no senior discount even if you are 65! Enjoyed the exhibits, very crowded. Food was super pricey even for Iceland

Dear SnooksintheDesert, thank you for your review.

We do give discounts to seniors 67 years and older. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed our exhibits, most of which are interactive and engaging for visitors of all ages. Perlan is Iceland's largest nature museum and a must-visit landmark - where we strive to educate through unique experiences.

Hope you enjoyed your overall stay in Iceland. Thank you again for taking the time to write to us.
Best regards,

The is a very good museum and worth a good deal of time. Many of the displays are interactive and there is so much information available. The volcano film had some amazing photography and the aurora show in the the planetarium was spectacular. The 360 degree deck and the cafe/restaurant upstairs make for a good visit. I arrived early before the tour buses arrived and I am glad I did. By the time I left at around midday it was packed. I chose to walk to and from Perlan from my Reykjavik hotel. It is about 3km and also goes past the domestic airport which is cool.

Dear EmeraldDiva, thank you for sharing your day at Perlan with us.

We are delighted to read about your experience at Perlan and that you were able to enjoy it to the fullest by also visiting our Café on the 5th floor with the amazing view over the capital area.
The walk to Perlan is also to be enjoyed. Even if Perlan is situated on Reykavik's highest hill, it's an easy walk through the most popular outdoor area for the locals, Öskjuhlíð, a little forest in the middle of Reykjavik.

With kind regards, we hope to welcome you back to Perlan one day,
JE

Good place to visit with minimum time at disposal in Reykjavik. Spending 3-4 hours there was not enough to see all this place offers to visitors but creates a better view of all this amazing island (Iceland) has.
The unavoidable decision after visiting Perlan must be: I’ll come back to Iceland but next time duration of my stay won’t be less than one week.

Dear Nen,

Thank you for your feedback. I am happy to hear you loved our museum. Iceland is full of wonders we strive to explain in our interactive exhibitions so our guests can experience, feel, and learn. It´s great to read you took your time to explore and look for knowledge treasures around the museum.

Did you notice the scent in the Lava Show? The smell gives you a more profound experience of what it feels like to be next to an eruption site.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back at Perlan.

All the best,
Eva
