“Great Artwork!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2014

The sculptures here by the artist Einar Jonsson, are amazing, Very masculine yet, shows a soft side in regards to mother nature, and life. Really enjoyed my time here! Price was reasonable.

This Museum has one of the most beautiful and timeless sculptures we have ever seen in our lives. This artist Einar Jonsson is a one of his kind.

“A True Visionary”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2014

When you visit you will see the work of an avant garde thinker and visionary. His work is shocking and progressing, even today. Imagine the reactions in 1923. Built on a hill when there was nothing but lava fields this museum prethought the rise of Reykjavik as a world capital for art, culture, music, and architecture. the staff is knowledgeable and dedicated, very friendly. The fee includes two other newarby museums and is nominal. Don't miss the sculpture garden!

“OMG (and I have never used that acronym before)”

We happened upon the outdoor garden behind the museum featuring his cast bronze sculptures. I have just added him to my 10 favorite sculptors list.

“go for a stroll in the garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

We have never found the museum open, but we always go to the sculpture garden and stroll around. His work is dramatic and interesting. The garden is serene and lovely. This is very close to the big church and easy to find.
