I visited Iceland for Airwaves 2012. While we were there it was some of the windiest days Reykjavik has had. We decided to visit Hallgrimskirkja on the windiest of them all, which probably wasn't a great idea. The views from the Church, I imagine on a non-windy/cloudy day, would be incredible. My friend and I could barely stay up at the top for 5 minutes without freezing. Luckily there is no time limit to your visit so we would run outside, take a few photos and then run back into the covered area. The organist also was practicing while we were there so we got to hear the lovely organ in use, which is great because the inside of the Church is very stark.
