We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of Jan 2014 on an Icelandair holiday which included trips to the Blue Lagoon and The Northern Lights - which seemed to be switched off on our trip! We also booked the Golden Circle with Iceland Guided Tours which was much better then the others as we were in a smaller coach (14 people) and the tour guide (Dooley) was very informative both about the attractions and the history of the Icelandic countryside.
As other reviewers have said, this hotel is a bit small, but is ideally placed for a short stay. The staff were all very helpful and it was great to have access to tea/coffee/chocolate at any time of the day or night. We were in the annexe just across the road but our room had a wonderful view of the cathedral.Twin beds seem to be normal on the continent and our room was warm and comfortable. Breakfast again was what we have come to expect on the continent but with the possibility of making your own pancakes of you were a bit adventurous!More
