Had the Arctic char, it was lovely, came with root vegetables and raisins and peanuts. It was pretty quiet at 8pm. Good and friendly service, pretty good value for Reykjavik. Would recommend.

More of a café vibe, with live music on certain days. Relaxed and friendly with great service. The food was the best I've tasted in a while (all other countries included!) Really fresh fish with large portions, well cooked and very tasty. Compared to other Icelandic restaurants we tried this was exceptional quality and very good value (we paid approx. £160 for starters and main for 4 people, 4 glasses of wine, 2 sprite and 2 liquer coffees)

We were dining amongst locals, the way we like it. Our server barely spoke English but we managed in the International language of food and wine. Hard to find but worth it. Very warm atmosphere and charming. Live entertainment that changes daily we were told? The night we went, there was a play in Icelandic that was lost on us, I wish we had hit Jazz or any other music night, but it was interesting. Food was reasonable and good. It was practically empty when we arrived, by the time we left, the place was jam packed as locals go out late.

Saw this restaurant in a local "what's on" magazine. We were looking for a fun place for a meal. This did it all! Food was varied on the menu and ranged from jacket potatoes to fish and steak. Prices were Icelandic so not cheap but average for the town. However at around 21.00 hrs the music starts. We saw both a young girl singer who sang both in English and Swedish and also a brilliant singer/songwriter whose jokes translated into English were still hilarious. So overall the combination of good food and the music made for a great evening out. Try it!!!

We stumbled across this place near our hotel. It doesnt look much from the outside compared to the more modern restaurants further down. Looks like your old style pub.
The food was absolutley amazing. If you want a good plate of food and non of your posh arty grub this is the place. The icelandic lamb was the best lamb ive tasted anywhere around the world. We left before the music started and it was starting to fill up with the locals. I always think if the locals like a place its a good place to be.
