I stayed a for week starting on 24th February in a standard room. The standard rooms are very small. The bed was narrower than a standard single so might be a problem for a larger person than I. The room was clean but basic. I'd expected that to be the case from the price. The shower was good and the room was cleaned every day and new linen was provided daily. As other posters have stated you can control the room temperature via the thermostat on the radiator in your room. This is very useful when you come in from the cold. The staff are helpful but perhaps not the most friendliest of people you'll come across. The breakfast is cold buffet style (eggs, cold meat, cumcuber, tomatoes, selection of breads - toasting machine is available, cereals, fruit juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate) which is perfectly acceptable for a budget hotel. Note the breakfast is the same for standard rooms as it is for deluxe rooms (equivalent of a "normal" hotel room). It is possible to upgrade from standard to deluxe. I've stayed in both at this hotel and there is a big difference between the two. I'd recommend the deluxe if you are travelling as a couple or you're a larger solo traveller.
