“Great bathing experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2014

It was lovely to relax, 2 large pools and lots of hot tubs. Very clean.

We did go on a Saturday, therefore it was VERY crowded. Hot tubs had at least 6+ people in each including children and babies - which I thought was a little weird - as in England under 16's cannot go in hot tubs. Large pool for swimming lengths and large pool full of kids with basketball hoop, watersides etc.

All in all, for 1200 ISK - £6.37 for 2 people, it was a great!

“Great pool, crowded hot tubs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

At last, a break from organized tours and ventured to the pool by bus (an adventure in itself - unlike in many cities, the buses make infrequent stops but the driver tells you where to get off). The hot tubs were kind of crowded in late afternoon/early evening so it's mostly sitting in them but there are large pools for swimming laps or the "fun" pool where you can sort of swim, float or do whatever.

“If (insert name of famous beer) did swimming pools...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2014 via mobile

Air temperature 2 Celsius; water temperature your choice.
Really clean changing rooms, with the facilities of a private gym. There is a 50 metre indoor and outdoor pool. A fun pool with a slide. 5 or 6 plunge pools. All HEATED naturally - anything from 38 to a scorching 44, your choice. The place is divine, so relaxing and a great price - the equivalent of 3 quid. You must, must visit this place, you will spend hours bathing.
p.s. If you like chlorinated, dirty British Pools with tepid water and all sorts of human secretions - you best avoid this place.

“A must do if in Reykjavik!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2014

Visited Laugardalslaug on the first evening of my stay as it is open until 10pm! Absolutely fantastic facility, very clean and hi-tech, with free hairdryers and lockers too. There are lots of 'hot-pots' at varying temperatures, as well as a steam room and massage area. Great for children too, as there is a large pool with slides in it. There is also a normal swimming pool, it might be 50m, for swimming lengths. In the summer there are sun loungers and picnic benches, and being next door to the campsite and hostel, is ideal. In March there was snow, which some people chose to rub on themselves!! Very good value at about £3 a visit.
