Affordable hotel, room a little small but comfortable. We enjoyed the variety at breakfast. The hotel is in a good location and you can easily walk to the city center. The staff at the front desk were so nice and helpful! They answered all our questions, helped us with tours, and even packed us a to go breakfast for our early flight.

We chose this hotel for our visit to Reyjavik based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and were pleased we did. Prior to our visit we checked a couple of things out with the hotel via email and received a quick and courteous reply.

On arrival we were amazed at the speed of the check in as there was a queue but the staff dealt with everyone quickly and took the trouble to explain where to find the room and breakfast.

The rooms are not large but they provide everything you need for your stay and after all the room is really only for sleeping and getting washed and dressed. The room was nice and warm, in fact we had to turn the radiator down.

The bathroom was well stocked with towels and there was a shower rather than a bath which suited us fine.

We were also pleased to find that there were tea making facilities in the room.

Free wifi is provided in the breakfast room and hotel reception area, if you want to use wifi in your room you have to pay for it.

There is a TV with an in built DVD in the room and you might want to take some DVD's to watch in the evening as there are only 6 channels and only a few are in English so viewing is a bit limited.

The other good thing about this hotel is the location because it is within easy walking distance of the city and they can book excursions for you and the bus picks you up from the hotel so it is ideal.

We asked for a quiet room and got one at the side of the hotel which overlooked a playground and in the distance you could see the church tower.

Breakfast was included and was served in a large room downstairs. The choice was very good and included bread which you could toast, fresh and tinned fruit, meat, cheese, croissants, yoghurt, sausages, eggs, waffles as well as tea, coffee and juice.

Overall a very good hotel and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Reyjavik

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if you are a light sleeper and they will do their best to accommodate you. Our...

The absolute greatest strength of this hotel is the amazing staff!! We stayed four nights in this hotel and from the moment we arrived, we were treated to superb service. Estanis was particularly helpful in arranging tours, suggesting restaurants, explaining interesting sites in the city to see and extending himself in so many extraordinary ways. Other exemplary staff members in reception pointed out the best (in other words, heated) streets to walk down when going in to town, best shops for particular items, and which thermal pools to experience. We were warmly welcomed when we came back from a day away and we were warmly wished a pleasant day when we left at 7:30 am! The rooms are quite simple, but adequate. Very clean, with minimal amenities. But, the truth is, we were out all day (and night) touring that we barely spent a few hours sleeping.....and, the rooms were nice and toasty, thanks to geothermal heating! Breakfast was quite good and again, the staff was present and eager to help in any way possible. Supermarket was a short walk from the hotel and a wonderful Italian restaurant was right across the street. Shops are easily accessible--as are most of the Reykjavik important sites.

We stayed two nights on June 2013 and enjoyed so much the comfortability of this hotel. We are so grateful to Estanis for spending so many time with us explaining the best places to see and visit in Iceland. If we ever come back to this fantastic island, we are sure to repeat our staying at this hotel.

Lovely hotel with really friendly and helpful staff which made you feel as if you were at home. They reorganized all our tours that got cancelled and even suggested ones which were better with their local knowledge.
Great part of town to be in all the shops in easy walking distance. Was always the last to be picked up on all the excursions and first dropped off.
Breakfast was great with loads to choose from. Would recommend this hotel to everyone amazing price for a 5 star service.
Thank you very much for our stay.

We stayed at Fosshotel Lind for 4 nights last week. The rooms were basic but the beds were comfortable and the staff always happy to help advise on where to visit.

The shower was quite small and as with everywhere in Iceland the hot water stinks of sulphur. I had cold showers because I didnt like the smell but that wasnt really necessary. I found my skin got really itchy while in Iceland which was probably from the water.

The only downside of the hotel was the breakfast. There was nothing missing (3-4 different cereals, baked beans, small sausages, nice hot drinks machine, waffle maker, cold meats etc) but nothing was really that inspiring or tasty. If you are used to the huge selection provided on some package holidays in warmer parts of Europe you might notice the step down.

Location was good, but I would probably suggest a hotel outside of Reykjavik if you are planning on seeing the natural attractions, as it was a long drive to the picturesque places like Thingvellir and Gullfoss. Of course if you are seeing them as part of an excursion group then they collect from the hotels in Reykjavik.

Overall a nice hotel, close to all the best things in Reykjavik and I would stay there again.
