In August 2010, I actually booked a room at another hotel (a budget, 3-star hotel). But that hotel overbooked their rooms, and after paying them their budget price, paid for me to spend the night here, at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik. So I didn't pay whatever the Grand Hotel's rates were, but boy, this is a nice hotel. Rooms are really nice, all the comforts you might need, staff very friendly and accomodating... breakfast is really good, there are 3 internet terminals in the lobby for people to use... the hotel advertises that they've cut down on elctomagnetic signals in the rooms... no complaints at all. I don't know how much these rooms typically go for, but if you get a decent price, just know that this is a really fine hotel.
