My wife and I with my sister and her husband booked The Grand Hotel in Reykjavik and what a pleasant surprise to have a friendly face on reception to greet us on arrival. The rooms were spotless and well fitted. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of food. Perhaps the plates for hot food could be warm though ! Evenings were spent in the large bar which served an excellent choice of hot or cold meals. Not to be missed is the happy hour as drinks in Iceland are not cheap. Special thanks to the staff at the reception and bar area and in particular Natascha who made our stay most enjoyable with her pleasant and business like attitude. She will go far in her hotel career.
