Great hotel, efficent service and good breakfast. Try a shot of cod liver oil! 15min walk to center, local pool and zoo round the corner. We had a 1yr old and as we arrived we had the wrong cot in our room. It was changed instantly. Also the fastest lifts in Iceland!

The hotel itself is very beautiful, tall building, which has a modern feel to it. I was greeted by the staff, friendly, upon arrival. But they did not seem to care about the guest as I felt at other hotels. But they were nice and helpful.

The rooms are great! Modern, with desk, big bed, safe, flat-screen TV and so on. I stayed on the 11th floor which had a great view over Reykjavik city.

I really enjoyed staying here and I hope to able to stay here if I return to Reykjavik!

Our rating would have been higher if it hadn't been for one little thing...

Inside, the hotel is spacious and airy. The room was comfortable and clean. It was a corner room (try asking for one) so the views were lovely. The breakfast buffet was really good - a definite highlight. But consider the location. Downtown is about a ten minute walk so if you want to be in the heart of the shopping and dining, you might think about a downtown hotel. You can find restaurants near the hotel but the choice is more limited.

Our rating would have been higher if it hadn't been for one thing. Be advised that if you hand in (quite valuable) lost property to reception you should get a receipt. Asking for email confirmation afterwards could prove futile.

First impression - The Reception has a fantastic height to its ceiling yet a very nice place to sit and wait or drink and scialise. The bedroom has all one could ask for - fine TV, tea making, beautiful bed and fine bathroom.
Dining room and staff excellent and breakfast provided a great choice. Would stay there again

We spent 4 nights in this modern hotel just outside the city centre of Reykjavik.
From the outside the building looks ugly and too "Americanized", not what would you expect to find in a country like Icelandic. On the the other hand the inside was pretty with a huge glass roof and with good design.
Our room was perfect, spacious with a big bed, one desk, TV, one armchair, one chair, fridge, wardrobe and a large window.
Bathroom was particularly impressive, with a bath and a separate shower. Everything very clean!
Wooden floor and solid mattress made the room warm and comfortable.

Staff was ok, considering the Icelandic average which is unfortunately not very friendly.
One of the best thing was breakfast, incredibly rich and tasty, the salmon salad was amazing!!!

The location is probably the negative side, not in the centre of Reykjavik right next to a huge and surprisingly (for Iceland) busy road. If you want to walk to the town centre you probably need 20/30 minutes which is not very pleasant during the freezing and windy winter days.
