For a reasonably priced hotel with great service, close enough to easily walk to the centre of Reykjavik and yet far enough away to avoid the noisy night-life, the Best Western can totally be recommended. Throw in free WiFi and buffet breakfast and it's a gem, all be it a slightly dated one.
The only problem I found was a design flaw with my bedroom (single, top floor) in that there was no switch near the bed to turn off the light above it, and the only desktop light wasn't on the bedside table but on the desk across the room (and no socket near the bed to be able to move it). As a result there didn't seem to be any way of getting into bed with the light on and then turning it off - or being able to read in bed without then getting up to turn the light off - not really a problem to me in June but as the nights grow longer it could present more of an issue.
