Fantastic northern lights tour

Fantastic service. Tomas the guide was brilliant. Picked up from our apartment and spent about 4 hours searching for the lights. Disco Iceland offers a repeat tour if the search wasn't successful. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend!

Northern Lights Tour was awesome!

I researched a bunch of different Northern Lights Tours, and I feel like this bus tour provides the most bang for your buck. Tor was our driver, and he led us out into multiple locations until we ended up finding the Northern Lights. His passion for his job and excitement to see the lights truly came through. Plus, he took pictures on his awesome camera (your iPhone's not going to work here), and the hot chocolate / cookies were a nice touch. Great experience!

Excellent planning for Ring Road trip!

Our family had a wonderful trip with Discover Iceland, thoroughly enjoyed the trip carefully planned by the team at Discover, and the tour guide was wonderful, providing us an enjoyable ten day experience around the island. Highly recommended!

Ring Road Tour with Odinn

Odinn is definitely one of the best tour guides we've ever met! Our family and friends spent 10 days with Odinn, and had a wonderful experience. He is funny, insightful and offers his Icelandic viewpoint on history, culture and so much more. He is also an excellent driver who always ensures our safety comes first in the unpredictable winter. He always makes the effort to ensure all the pre-booked activities and lodging are well organized, and goes the extra mile to whip up homemade local delicacies for us. We are deeply impressed with the Icelandic hospitality Go Travel Iceland offers and could not recommend Odinn enough! Takk!!

A true gem of a company

I've toured with over five different companies in Iceland, and I have to say Discover Iceland is one of the best.

I had already been to the Golden Circle on a previous trip, yet on a second visit to Iceland I decided to book the "Spicy Golden Circle" tour with Discover, hoping it would live true to it's promise to take you to some more off the beaten path stops. It truly did! In addition to Geyser, Gulfoss, and Thingvellir National Park (the "typical" Golden Circle sights), you get to see a black sand beach, do a short hike/walk to a stream with beautiful mountain scenery, and admire a glacier river. I also liked sampling the dried fish and malt - a nice touch & way to get a glimpse of Icelandic culture.

Aside from the route, the driver/guide, Orri, was wonderful - very personable! He planned the order of the stops in accordance with weather and times to best avoid the crowds. He urged everyone to take their time at each stop, and had just the right of information without droning on the entire trip (as some tour guides do). The tour felt personal with just 8 people including myself on a nice minibus.

The combination of lovely guide, off-the-beaten path sites, and small tour size made Discover Iceland's Spicy Golden Circle tour an excellent value for the money and a great way to spend my 1 full day in the country. I would not hesitate to recommend them or take another tour with them on a future trip.
