When we asked for beers, the service made us feel as if we had been so rude as to disrupt them. This was almost acceptable, given the fact that this bar was supposed to have one of the better Icelandic beer selections in Reykjavik. We went on the last night of the Icelandic Beer Festival, and found all of the beers we had been drinking all along in Iceland.
The place looks cool, like the kind of cool that must have taken forever to plan out each singular detail, from the board games in the bookcase to the hammocks to the beer kegs supporting a table near the bar. Too bad the food could not live up to the decor. I had the mussels, which came with about 10 total mussels and no sides. It was misleadingly listed with my boyfriend's more appropriately entree-sized beef goulash. Since the mussels weren't that good anyways, I decided not to order more food, and went elsewhere to finish my meal. My boyfriend enjoyed his goulash, but was not blown away by any means.
Overall, its a cool place to look at, and grab a beer. Not the best place for good food or service.
