Description: Trendy and warm gastropub located alongside Kex Hostel in central Reykjavík, offering views of the Atlantic Ocean. High quality food for a fair price and 14 beers on tap. Our menu offerings vary from the perspective of a gastropub with a complete focus on local ingredients in good relationship with producers and foragers, along with foraging a big part of raw materials ourselves.

This is a great spot in Reykjavik. Very lively but relaxed atmosphere. We loved sitting there and tasted some of their menu and an Icelandic beer called Einstok, the IPA was good. They have live music and I would recommend stopping by there if you are in Reykjavik.

The venue itself is worth going for; they serve drinks, coffee, cakes and small dishes throughout the day. Perfect for a small lunch; overlooking part of Reykjavik Bay. Nice staff and good food.

We went for dinner last night after reading a rave review in the Grapevine (the English language newspaper in Reykjavik). It was just as hip as the author had described. In one corner, a camera crew was interviewing indie musicians in advance of the Airwaves concert. A good looking bartender was flirting with a hostel guest. It reminded me of the gastropubs that have taken over Los Angeles in recent years. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. But, we didn't try the Jack Daniels chocolate mousse and I'm still having non-buyers remorse.

This place is new on the Reykjavik restaurant scene, but has been a huge hit for locals and visitors alike. The food is first class, and the prizes are low. The reason might be that the helpings are not very big, although everyone in my party were completely full after their dinner. The atmosphere is very cosmopolitan, and cool without trying to hard. Many icelandic celebrities have been spotted at the place, mainly from the music scene, and blend in perfectly with other guests. The place has a patio where people can sit in the sun all day, although it's quite hard to get a seat when the sun is shining.
Can't recommend the place strongly enough.
