We used this company to visit the Northern Lights. Unfortunately due to the weather the trip was cancelled twice but we managed to go the third night - the last night of our holiday. Sadly not the most spectacular - but we had low expectations to see the lights. It was very, very cold but you can sit on the bus to get warm and the tour guide will come and get you if there is any activity. Inga was our guide and told some tales about local culture and the lights. This can be quite a long night - we did not get back to the hotel until nearly 2 am. It was an experience and we also saw a beautiful clear sky and the milky way.

Also used this company for airport transfers - luckily first drop off when arriving. Rather odd when returning as you had to change coaches in town. But apart from this generally efficient.

We used Grayline to visit the Blue Lagoon & for the Northern Lights.
Both trips were excellent, they offer hotel pick-ups and drop-offs. The staff in the office were very helpful.
The Blue Lagoon was 'heaven on earth'. Well recommended- but go for the cheapest package.
The first night tour for the Lights was cancelled due to clouds. But we were rebooked onto the following night tour. The lights were evident, but not very active, so the tour guide offered us another tour, if we return to Iceland within the next two years. Very fair... given that they are a natural phenomenon and can't be guaranteed- its like looking for Rainbows! Wi-f on all the buses and the tour guide on the Light tour, Linda, was excellent. easy to listen to- she told us about Iceland traditions and troll stories. It was a cold night- I was very well layered up and kept warm except for my face- I would recommend taking a balaclava or warm scarf to wrap round your nose & mouth.

We went on the blue lagoon + golden circle tour and the south coast + glacier walk.
Knowledgable guides, with lots of Icelandic humor. Good value for what you pay (comparatively - generally tours are not that cheap). Highlight of our trip was the glacier walk.

The tour was on a tight schedule given how much was packed in. If you are the sort of person who wants to do things at your own pace, then you can consider doing some of the 4x4 private tours - of course you have to dish out the extra dough as well.

I was taken to iceland on a surprise birthday trip by my husband, it was a fantastic break. Grey line were fantastic from the out set. Prompt collection at the airport, then on to smaller buses at the main depot in Reykjavik. Understandable as the street we were on was very narrow. The drivers were efficient and knew exactly what they were doing. Shame we had to take our vouchers into the office to get our tickets, this could have been avoided but we became pros at standing in line at 8am! We went on the bus to the Blue Lagoon, didn't realise that entry was so much, my advise is to take your own towels and packed lunch, as it's a bit pricey. But a wonderful experience! On the second day we did the golden classic tour with John Spencer as our guide, he was fantastic, great information provided, not hearded around and very relaxed, a credit to the company. Only shame was the Northern lights tour, as even though it was overcast every night, no attempt was made, and we were told to refer back to the travel agent for a refund. I can accept that the lights are a natural phenomenon and can not be predicted, but I wouldn't have minded going out for the experience of hunting for the lights, looking at other reviews, I don't think it would have been hunting, but just waiting in the predesignated waiting site. Overall a great first experience, just next time to see the lights, check the weather and go last minute. Will use grey line on our next visit.
