“A great find!”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

We were in Reykjavik for three days and we visited this café 4 times! We recommend the cheesecake, crepes and chilli! Quirky and welcoming, perfect for relaxing after a busy day touring.

“Fun cafe with good food.”
Reviewed February 23, 2014

Cafe Babalu is a great fun, eccentric cafe with cheaply priced great food.

We stopped for lunch, had Panini's which were excellent, perfectly prepared and served with a fresh salad.

We were a little sad we only found the cafe on the last day of our holiday so could not visit again and again. All in all very highly recommended. There is even free Wifi for customers.

“the best brunch !”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

This little place on the main street might not look like much, but the food is Excelent, the staff is super friendly and if it was up to my son, we would have had lunch there everyday.
I had the soup in a bread bol it was rich and creamy and ample portion without being "oversized" .
My son thad the sweet crepes and they were to die for and the "hot chocolate was not only very good but the presentation was very delicate.
As an added bonus I mentioned that I was taking the rest of my bread bol to feed the swans in the pond, he gave me a bag with more oread leftovers for the ducks!
Loved it !

“Great value”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Delicious, low-cost and freshly made food. We both had the soup and grilled cheese sandwich special deal, which was tasty and really good value for money - about £5 each. Definitely recommend this place as a lunch option!
