I guess if you like the wannabe hipster Yaffa Cafe knockoff in Iceland then this is the place for you. The old furniture, grandma's attic decor and board games do ring of a "cozy" atmosphere and a back porch-like balcony with flowers does make for nice ambience, the kind you would find in the Lower East Side in New York but not an Icelandic experience, whatever that may be. The food was mediocre at best, it was self-serve and due to the limited spacing we were cramped. We didn't try the NY cheesecake which the owner bakes himself which is nice but crepes we had were microwaved and not so tasty. I recommend the Tiu Dropar instead.

This is one of my favorite spots for coffee in downtown Reykjavík. It is a small cafe with a large personality and an interesting mish-mash of furniture and decorations. The ambience is great and the place is very welcoming. The location is optimal for a cafe in Reykjavík being on Skólavörðustígur which is a common destination for tourists filled with restaurants and souvenir shops. The coffee is good and the cakes and pastries very decent.

We randomly came across this place and really enjoyed the mushroom and onion crepes. The food was lovely and the place really cute and cosy. Don't be put off by the exterior as we almost walked right past it as it doesn't look like the most appealing place.

l was there twice and when you're there, you just don't want to leave.
It's warm, cosy, relaxed, you have a lot of things to do in there, but it is not for a large group of people... really nice cafe.

They had good coffe and nice cake!

Would go again :)

We stepped in out of the snow and rain to this quiet haven of quirky design and comfort food. The coffee and cakes were great as were the vegetarian lasagne and chilli (and we are not vegetarians). This was a great place to take a break from being a tourist !
