“Excellent Icelandic Menu”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

For a taste of Iceland, this menu was the real deal. It probable deserves 5 stars, but some of the local dishes were a little too different for my taste. Everything was well presented and service was excellent. The puffin had a dry texture and the sea birds were a bit gamey, but more traditional dishes such as ocean perch and lamb were superb. The minke whale was excellent as an appetizer and also as a grilled main course, very beefy tasting. Beef carpaccio and smoked salmon were large well done servings and dessert. Prices were reasonable for Reykjavik.

“Excellent taste of Iceland”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Very tasty food creatively presented in exiting modern combinations with vegetables and herbs! You can try a lot of Icelandic specialities like puffin, sea birds, mink wale, lobster, but also delicious lamb and deserts. Everything we tried was very tasty, It was just smelting on the tounge!Fish Soup was one of the best we tasted during the week. We've visited the restaurant twice during our stay in Reykjavik. It's a cosy place that can fit both a romantic couple and a Family with kids (great kids menu). Dishes came quickly on the table and every dish was explained to us.The servants was very attentive and came with water bottles all the time. If you order a glass of wine, you get a little karaffel. Regular coffe is served in small thermos. All in all great value for money.

“Good choice in Reykjavik”

Fusion style food. It's a good alternatives for Iceland. Staff were pretty nice and helpful even though some of them were a bit inexperienced.
I will go again if I revisit Iceland.

“A Great Place for Top Food”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

I was looking for a late night dinner and felt glad to have found it.
Just some blocks down the Hallgrímskirkja in the touristy area of Reykjavík, this restaurant offers a good menu. It overcame my expectation. Food is superb there and - what makes the difference to me - fresh...so fresh.
I ordered the Hallsgrím's shellfish soup, that was huge and full of savour. It perfectly combined with the rainy and cold weather outside. I also chose the Sushi & Sashimi from the lighter main. Magnifique!
Bill comes quite high but it worths...so this is true I got back twice!

“A happenin' place”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

Right on the tourist path, this busy restaurant delivers good food and good drinks in a satisfying way. The chef is innovative in his/her menu and presentation. Sharing is encouraged in this atmosphere that screams for a celebration among friends. Unfortunately, we were not very hungry and simply looking for a small bite to eat. The menu focuses on "feasts," and there weren't many small bites available. We opted for the grilled chicken salad and the pasta with lobster and tiger shrimp. Both were very tasty and were just what we needed. The prices are a bit steep here, but if you're looking for a fun evening out with friends....the bottom line won't matter.
