Had a lovely dinner here with my friend. We both enjoyed our food and we were especially appreciative of our server who, upon casually hearing my friend and I talk about our food allergies while checking out the menu, made sure to tell the chef about them when we ordered our food "just to be safe." Would definitely come back next time I'm in Reykjavik.

Staff was excellent and the girls took time to explain the menu many times. The plates were beautiful and delicious but the cod was salty and rich with butter. We enjoyed it and would go again if our wallet allowed us!

My husband had the daily special which was fried fish, very nicely done. I went for the lightly salted cod. This is very, very salty so beware of this dish. our service was quite slow - our server forgot to put in our drink order and perhaps the lunch order. i recommend trying the FishMarket instead, although that is not open for lunch.

We were looking for a restaurant with grilled salmon and this one hit the nail on the head. A lot of restaurants prepare salmon seared, poached, raw or smoked. The entree was a generous portion of salmon and came many unusual sides; spiced bread, smashed new potatoes, broccoli, and some wonderful sauces to dip the food in. The meal arrived with everthing hot, the salmon grilled slightly pink and every bite tasted different. We were very happy with the service and had a table by the window where it was quiet and bright. Made a reservation and was assured we'd have several hours to eat with friends and make the evening special.

We picked this place in part b/c was top rated on Tripadvisor...and we've had great luck with most reviews. We had a reservation, and from the very moment we walked in w/ our 3 teenage kids we didn't feel particularly welcomed. Host didn't welcome us or smile, just led us to table. Was pretty dark, food wasn't that memorable. Def our least noteworthy meal in Reykjavik. Was also one of our most expensive meals. Whole family agreed it didn't deserve to be so highly ranked.
