“EXTRAORDINARY”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

This is a beautiful building and worth visiting. It's open 10 to 10 daily and the architecture and setting on the water make it very special. There is a cafe and gift shop and places to just sit and drink the place in. We actually were able to attend a concert and the concert hall is fabulous as is the Iceland Symphony. The personnel are extremely helpful and proud of the place. Don't miss it.

“Stunning”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

What an amazing building! This won a European architectural award in 2013 and is thoroughly deserved. The lights outside the building change colour and move in sequence and the interior is also stunning. Wish we had had time to see a concert there !

“Architecture at it's best”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

Wow, a simply stunning building and facility of the highest quality design, visually stunning both inside and out, the night time light show is also worth a peek. Whilst there are visitor tours you are free to wander around the public spaces and look at various exhibitions, there are also some nice shops and a cafe as well. It's situated near the old harbour, so close to centre and easy to find. Go visit even if just for 10 minutes and admire and appreciate some great design

“Stunning”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

What a spectacular and beautiful modern building. Very photogenic.
There are guided tours, though they did not fit in with our schedule, but you are free to wander throughout the public areas, which are visually stunning. I know nothing of architecture (which is not a hindrance to appreciating such a beautiful building) but I would imagine anyone who does would be making their way there as soon as they arrive in Reykjavik.
Currently (Jan 2014) there is also a very interesting exhibition of other modern creative architecture.
Go there!

“Beautiful Architecture”

If you love the work of Olafur Eliasson than this is not to be missed. It's an easy walk from city center and a lovely view of the old harbor.
